It's inspiration can be thought of as love lost, since it's written about a girl he left 10 years before, and love found, since he wouldn't give up his music career for her - and look how that turned out. And to clear up, there is no duet with a Scot in this song. Ten Years Gone is one of my favorite songs by led. robert plant is just incredible. his singing complements everything that led zeppelin has to offer. its like the voice was made to go with the music. jimmy is just so perfect when it comes to the guitar. and bonham is just incredible. even my man john paul. lol. they have changed my life in so many ways. and like tracie said, they are the soundtrack to my life!
