Tool does an incredible version of this song but its extremely rare. They change the lyrics but I think you will all agree it has the same message! Its great to have the the two versions so you can play either when in a different emotional state of mind. ANGRY with your woman: Led Zep
SHES LEFT YOU: TOOL

Great Song | Reviewer: Nick | 6/8/07
I don't like much music from the Zepplin Era. Infact I'm not even a huge LZ fan. But this song is amazing.
Alternate meaning? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/26/07
And if the fight presented is not a fictional one like that in Lord of the rings but a metaphorical one, a fight for the truth?
Speechless | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/16/07
The song (and album) are just sublime.I have no words to describe such refinement.
No Quarter Remake | Reviewer: G | 5/1/07
If you like Led Zepplin's No Quarter, check out the Tool remake. Didn't think the song could be any better, but leave it to Tool. Check it out!!
A song that affects your very soul | Reviewer: Mick G | 4/20/07
The first time I heard this song was as a 15 year old and even then I knew that there was something very special about it. The emotion infused into Plant's vocals, Page's guitar playing always chills my spine, Jone's keyboards & bass providing a soulful & intricate tapestry for the others to play to and Bonzo's drumming - what can you say, never has a drummer been able to hold back a beat so well and pull it off, just listen to the kick and snare drum working together but completely independant. Possibly one of the greatest songs of all time.

i really agree that led zep was inspired by the lord of the rings when they wrote this song. taking the path where no one goes; that is so tolkienesque

It's sad to know that not many people are aware of the greatest musicians of all time. When I discovered this song I thought I was having an orgasm. It surely does take you to a higher level. I just wish that Bonzo never died =(

This is one of Zeppelins best. It draws you into a fantasy of medieval Knights on a mission through a black forest struggling with the forces of nature. Few artists will ever excel to this level of connection with the listener.
