I don't understand about these lyrics, or the message, coz I'm not English. Before reading this page, I always heard this song like "hey fellis have you heard the news, the man is backin town..." ^^

Well I am pretty sure the initial meaning is talking about a woman the whole town wanted to be with, but she sounds like the kind that doesn't fall for men easily.

The narrator has known her for a while, possibly in a past relationship. He knows she is the type that will emotionally crush men, so he gives her warning. Tells her to go away.

He's talkin about a Heartbreaker, of which so many men know too well. It's that simple, im sure.

I love this song. And sdfsdf, I'd probably think what you're typing next time. I'm Thirteen. Didn't need that.....No offense meant whatsoever though. It's none of my business to know what you do alone in front of a television......You can wish as much as you want, but whatever you think when you do that will probably never happen. Enjoy that. I'll enjoy this song. I love the song! It could mean so many different things, but whatever. Only Robert and Jimmy would know. And they might've forgotten by now.
