The Reviews about Babe I'm gonna leave you (page 1/ 3)
------ performed by Led Zeppelin

Zep does a good version of Anne's song.. Babe I'm Going to Leave You | Reviewer: Bill | 8/15/09

In attempting to learn the song it took me a bit to find coherence within the lyric (Zep) version... finding the original lyric/ Anne Bredon (Maiden Name: Loeb)brought it into perspective for me.
Written +/-1959 ... from what I can gather, Anne was about to leave her first husband and first two kids... very powerful image...

Love you have to leave | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/12/09

I see the song as a love that as strong as it is they are better off away from each other. Knowing (hoping) that one day we will go walking throught the park and, it's really gonna grow. But for now I have to quit you. Ya know that love that you can't seem to decide to be away or together. Hate when together but hate being apart.

a very special song | Reviewer: Ben | 1/20/09

this song get into me, it touch my heard as no other song. Its about how the road calling and that strong need to ramble... to explore the land. I've been a truckdriver for nearly 17 years and allways felt that urge when I stayed home to long...

Contradiction | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/11/09

Music and lyrics are harmonious as most of Led Zeppelin songs.
This song gives me blues and enthusiasm, anger at the same time...
There can be so many reasons for "leaving" and no matter what, the action of "leaving" is sad.
It can be leaving the earth as you know it, leaving a woman, leaving a place...
You feel/know you gotta go, maybe you want it also, but at the same time you wanna stay...
This song's musical and lyrical contrasts give those feelings in 06:40. Like "life" itself.

Touches my soul... | Reviewer: jeffman | 12/13/08

A week ago I found out my wife was having a romantic affair for the past year with someone I'd entrusted with the details of our marital relationship over the past 8 years... Four days ago I stumbled upon this song... I don't believe I can align myself, my pain, my angst with anything more closely than I can with this moving, beautiful song... Leaving her is still in question - in the summertime, perhaps...

Reminds me. | Reviewer: Cecilie | 1/19/08

Beautyful song, I really have some feelings for it.. it reminds me of a hard time with a dear friend of mine. And so many other aspects of living.. It's just beautyful.

Led Zeppelin - Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You | Reviewer: Robb Roza | 12/9/07

Truly an AMAZING song. The arrangements, soloing, lyrics...everthing is truly amazing.

As for the meaning. I believe it's quite simple...he's leaving her in the Summer and going far away from this place...heaven...he died in the Summer. He knows that some day he'll see her again and they'll be together again...in heaven. Truly passionate, wonderful, and sad. Thank God for Led Zeppelin. Peace and love forever and bless all of you!

I can hear it calling me back home | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/20/07

What sucker said was not making fun of the song he was quoting the person before him who said that and he was saying "you probably like all those other bands that only have singles or one or two good songs." I agree deff. an amazing song and so full of passion. And he's saying he'll be back but for now he has to go away

Woman, woman, I know, I know its good to have you back again
And I know that one day baby, its really gonna grow, yes it is.
We gonna go walkin through the park every day.
Hear what I say, every day.
Baby, its really growin, you made me happy when the skies were grey.
But now Ive got to go away

which aludes he will be back someday... truly amazing.

crazy tune | Reviewer: Marc | 10/21/07

Thing about Zeppelin is that they incorporate the blues in the majority of their songs...this song is a perfect example of it and only Plant could pull it off and make everything flow into each other lyrically...zeppelin is so passionate in their tunes its sick....when god said let there be rock there was Zeppelin

LOVE IT | Reviewer: holly | 8/28/07

A favorite of mine. There are many great Zeppelin songs but there are certain ones that stand out and give you a feeling in your heart. This is one of them. I listen to it when Im happy, sad, upset, depressed whatever mood Im in it gets me feelin better. Even if its a sad song, zeppelin just has that kinda hold on me.
