Although some might interpret this as a love song, I think it is more of a spiritual song. It's way too deep and powerful to just be about a relationship with a man. I think it's really cos it virtually speaks about my kind of love, to friends, to the women I've loved, whom I really never stopped loving. Then there's the way the song catches you unawares. Cos it's not listed on the album, you don't really know it's there. And when you first hear it, you may not know it's scripture. The guitar arpeggio running througH it is beautifully simple and Lauryn's voice make s me melt, extremely heartfelt recording, I don't think you could sing like that without really meaning it.
