I am greatful to have first heard Laura Nyro in 1969. To this day Laura Nyro connects with me better than any other singer/song writer. Her songs became the favorites of several of my girlfriends over the years. Her songs were "our songs". I cried when I learned of her passing. Listening to "The Bells" touches my very soul.
