i don't know if anyone here can speak for Lamb Of God regarding what they mean by their lyrics. they certainly do say a lot of things that seem to contradict christianity, but what is christianity? is it the religion that follows christ as he wanted us to? or is it the religious structure full of sanctimonious, self righteous, alienating people who's faith consists mostly of condemning people for minor offences which have little in the way of consequence, while they hold dear the attitudes that invalidate everything about the good things that God and Jesus could be.
Lamb of God attack a lot of things that Christianity attacks, believe it or not. the fact that they are so brutal in how they express themselves might simply be to get the recognition that they have now, is this the reason why people like you, storm (you stunted miscreant) and you annonymous (i can't even begin to express how how invalid what you said is), are talking about their lyrics in a message board.
WOW let me clear this up | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/13/2008
you guys are all mistaken and confused little christians. "Lamb of God" is the name of the most brutal and amazing metal band in the united states, and of course, though their name and lyrical content do sometimes use words and phrases that may sound religious, anyone can see that they are only using it to sound cool, make FUN of religion, and compare the idea of faith and higher levels of worship to their own journey as a talented but emotionally intense band. this song is DEFINITELY not by this band, it's some sappy religious song, and laid to rest (by the metal bad lamb of god) is in no way connected to these lyrics here. CASE CLOSED.
is lamb of God, God honoring?? | Reviewer: abbit | 11/21/2007
thee lyrics seem ok but is this the same band that sings laid to rest??? ive ead there lyrics and i dont inderstand how they can come from a christina band...when you sing destroy yourself, see who gives a f***, do you really think you are using your talent to honor God????????

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Lyrics of Lamb of God!When we say Hallelujah we mean Praises be to God therefore we praise God for His gift the Lamb who is Jesus Christ. DO NOT REMOVE THE LYRICS. I dont see any defaming of God's name in these lyrics not unless there is a part that follows besides these ones.

I have never heard this song but if these are truly the lyrics to it then I suggest you remove them from your list because they bring no glory to God and are a testimony of what the devil is doing becuase Jesus is the lamb of God and no "freedom of worship" can justify defaming his name in this way.
Sharing lyrics is wonderful but i pray for the spirit of dicernment as you do so.
God be with you.
