After the 90's metal scene was fading away and a wave of "boy's band metal" was representing the scene, Lamb Of God was the band that made me pick up my own guitar again! This band is able to play technical and melodic riffs so tight without losing it's rawness a for single moment. Along with such bands like Trivium and Mastodon, they brought a new generation of metal to new fans and old fans alike. One of their best songs are "Laid To Rest" and "Now You've Got Something To Die For". If you haven't heard these songs, you definitly should.
