Leaño | 10/15/04 Lamb's Gabriel, a song of love and faith, made in an almost unloving, haunting tone. It evokes a mood of a strange derangement, yet so full of compassion. In a religious manner, it speaks of helplesness and faith, almost prayer-like. Dark but not melancholic, it raises the level of music-listening to the spiritual. Most touching for its sense of detachment for what it should really be, but allows the listener to ponder in its strangeness. Faith is like such, the fall into the unknown, to make you hang onto something. And the song Gabriel, like faith, brings empowerment, in the odd way of praying.
