Lacuna Coil was founded before Evanescence. Evanescence's first demo (Origin) was releases in 2000. Lacuna Coil's self titled EP was released 1998. Lacuna Coil was signed in 1997, and has been around since 1994.Evanescence was not signed until 2002/2003. Therefore, it would have probably been Lacuna Coil inspiring Evanescence. Evanescence might have the one up on voice style, and Lacuna Coil may have more creativity with their guitars, but all in all, great music is great music. Neither is better than the other.
