This song seems to relate to my situation almost perfectly but to someone on the out-side of my train of consciousness they would have no idea what the fuck I am talking about;
Even looking back on songs that helped me through hard times before;

Music does help me with my pain. I've always been a depressed person and this is a form of venting. It's like someone's beside you going through all the pain with you. I'm going through the worst time in my life right now and this song really is helping as a coping mechanism. I turn korn or seether up and block out the world around me.

I'm a big fan of Korn and this is my favourite song. After listening to the lyrics, I have to say that it's the first that's actually made me pretty sad as I'm going through a depression at this point and even the tiniest thing can trigger a depressive mood, even if it's a Korn song or someone arguing with you over the internet. I would have to agree with Kelvin that music does indeed affect people's emotional state of mind. It's really no different than watching a movie with a very sad, emotional scene in it and there's plenty of them around.

Kelvin i disagree with you completely.
Say a manic depressive, any sight, sound, smell or touch can trigger off an emotional state.
Music can relax a person, anger them, sadden them or even hype them up. Music can also release endorpheanes in the brain which can cause hightened emotional states.
The album "Break the cycle" by staind helped me myself through a very dark time in my life where i could relate to every song, therefore it brang forth memories which also affects the mood.
If you sit at the pc and listen to music with no reaction to a song then you are either an emotionless fool who i feel sorry for everyone who knows you, or you are an arrogant little 12 year old in the first place :)
Music does affect peoples moods and therefore can actually help people through hard times. Manic depressives will know exactly how strong music is!
All i can say is grow up before posting stupid comments like that :) Also if you have a problem with this post i am by far happy to explain in futher detail how music affects the brain and peoples mood in email :)

This is a great song but what the fuck have you all been smoking "I'n forever gratefull to KoRn for helping me deal with my pain" - bRiE (spelling mistakes included) What the fuck? It doesn't help you deal with pain its a song? You listen to music but it doesn't make you get over anything it's just music. You either didn't have a real problem or are an attention seeking 12 year old who made his/her own problems.

I took a quiz to see what my true heartsong was and what artist. I got this song by KoRn and it expresses every feeling I've ever had about the world and the people in it. Any anger or depression I've ever had is expressed in this song and I'm forever gratefull to KoRn for helping me deal with my pain
