when i haerd this song its like the anthem of my life. when i was two years old my mother gave me away. the woman who helped raise me also beat me. when i was 14 i found my mother and moved from north carolina to a small no name town in new york. i am now 20 years old with my own 2 year old daughter and i couldnt imagine life with out her. my mother has her excuses for why she left me but it still dosent hide the pain i feel every day of my life just like the song says i was so young she should have known better than to lean on me and now i cry in the middle of the night for the same damn thing. god has blessed me in ways i cant explain and what dosent kill me makes me stronger.

This song just blows me away, i've heard so many sad songs but this one just scales up to number one. The lyrics are touching, emotional and at the same time just depressing. I love this song becuase i've been through what she is singing about and it reflects so many poeple out there looking for hope and support, and how she sings about hearing her crying in her sleep and thinking only about herself, it reminds me of my mother, and it really touched me deep down and just it lets me know im not alone and the song will either make you cry becuase of what she went through, or smile becuase she is getting through and moving on, but always remembering her no matter what. Over all, the song and lyrics are fanominal and touching! (tear) I love it!!

I've always been a huge fan of Kelly, but this song is phenomenal! The lyrics are so deep, I don't know if anyone else could pull off writing about their own parents. This song means so much to me, because of past relationships, and my own situation with my parents. Rock on, Kelly! Keep doing what you do!
