The Reviews about The Frog Prince (page 1/1)
------ performed by Keane

The Frog Prince | Reviewer: James | 8/16/2008
This song was pretty catchy at first, but then it lost its touch a little bit, it became more like a mundane story. But, anyway I think Keane was referring to world leaders, how ordinary people will bring them selves to leaders one day. How some leaders become tryants/evil (someone will cast a spell on you), this could be because of a number of reasons. And like all leaders, the bad ones are much more likely to fall.

The old fairytale is how the world refers to Christianity. The Bible prophecies say the meek and pure of heart will inherit the earth, and those the world admire today, proud and materialistic, will lose their crown. Why did I rely on fashions and small fry, is a reference to ignoring the Christian beauty and vision and frittering life away on shallow things.

Christian prophecy says all the perfume and seduction of consumerism will make us forget what life it really about, and put us in a spiritual deep sleep.

Perfume, treasure, sorcery, every trick they know
You will lie in a deep sleep
    That's when

    Your prince's crown
    Cracks and falls down
    Your castle hollow and cold
    You've wandered so far
    From the person you are

The Person you are... | Reviewer: Jonathan | 3/13/2008

Im just wondering who this person is that has wandered so far from him/herself? Who is this song directed at and after they fell into a deep sleep, did they awake and decide to change their ways and become true to themself!!!
