this song is actually about ian's experience volunteering at a mental institution where he dealt with a girl that had epilepsy. that same girl i think either died in a fit or committed suicide and ian was inspired to write this song.

sounds like the thoughts of somebody on the verge of having a seizure... now, I have only had one once and am not sure if I have epilepsy or anything, but I'm sure if I had some sort of inkling that it was about to occur (which I didn't)) then it would be something along the lines of this.

Joy Division and New Order are the best bands ever. This song is exceptional along with all other Joy Division songs. It was a sad day when Ian Curtis died.
For a good cover ... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/25/07
Girls Against Boys did a really cool cover of She's Lost Control. Find it, listen to it and bust out in a rockin' spaz dance Ian Curtis style to appreciate its full beauty.

I have Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy and this song perfectly states the feelings and thoughts that occur before and after you have a seizure.
Sounds Like God's 4-Letter Word | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/11/06
Sounds Like late-era God's 4-Letter Word circa 1996.
