this is like the story of my life ... | Reviewer: shorty | 11/9/2007
Im rly poor, but not quite as poor as jojo was in her childhood..but to think that she succeeded at 13-my age-is amazing! Im working toward my dream-acting, because this song basically illustrated how she rose from poor to power. JoJo is and always will be my idol and inspiration.

i 4 1 love the song and i can totally relate 2 it
"Poor kids, pouring cold water in their cereal
Second-hand clothes
Surviving is pivotal"
"Lookin' out the window to a rose that grows in concrete
Dreamin' of the day when you'll be standing on your own feet"
means that if sumthang as fragile as a rose can push throw sumthing as hard as concrete then any1 can stand on there dreams
"Young girl sittin' on the steps of her duplex (mmm)
Why did God choose to make my life so complex"
THIS LINE DISCRIBES MY LIFE!!!
....AND THE FACT THAT JOJO WROTE IT HER SELF IS AMAZING

Well worth a listen | Reviewer: cheebs! | 11/21/2004
Reading the lyrics for "Keep On Keepin' On" doesn't give one the same impact as listening to JoJo sing about a chapter of her life that's behind her by the grace of her incredible voice. The raw emotion of the song is tempered by its message of hope, and JoJo's voice soars above it all. It's easy to forget the singer/songwriter (this is one of three tracks on the album she penned) is only 13...which is a good thing, because her fans will have that much longer to enjoy her talent. :)
