Or else they'll fly off in a tangent from the orbit or will increasingly spiral inward to it's collision. Also everything has its own gravity. It's source of gravity increases with mass. From our perfect youth in the womb where we float until the gravities of the bodies of planets and destinies and human bodies drag us, corrupt us and even bring us down to the grave. You just want to avoid the gravity of some situation of so much mass cause who knows if you can keep up this speed.
