War or Peace | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/8/09
Look at it this way... inside of us we have the voice of war or the voice of peace. Everyone does. It doesn't matter what religion, spirituality or belief system. We either follow the call of peace or the call of war. It doesn't matter who we are, the highest of the highs or the lowest of the lows, we each follow what calls more loudly to us.
All you need is love | Reviewer: Andreas | 10/4/08
Manuel, what are you on about the 2nd world war and the ones that fought and all that...If all people had love inside them there would be no need to fight between us (there would be no nazis)... Look at the root of something and not at the surface...
The only way to stop injustice is love, if you have true love inside you (and me, and him and her and....etc...) then there will be no injustice!
We all need to try and don't sit back and think this is all theory and it cannot happened... If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem...and the problem is that we need to give love to everybody...
Lennon, Christian? Yeah, right! | Reviewer: per | 8/21/08
The Bob person, may I guess-a Christian-claims that Lennon before dying was showing an interest in Christianity. Well, that's a load of shit and wishful thinking. It's funny how Christians try to claim intelligent, critical people to be closet believers. I assume it is because they have nothing of the kind in their churches.
yes but! | Reviewer: Manuel | 7/22/08
Because ofcourse, there's always a but...
nice, i like that man, i thinck "he was not one of the badest..."
But i have to say that after talk like this, nice, peaceful...
we have to admit that without "fighting", humanity would still live in caverns, with power for the strongest...jungle rules...
Nice to talk about peace, but sometimes we'll have to fight for peace...
(2º world war against the nazis...)
the poeple who faught in the 2º world war were not all wrong...
thancks to them!!!
Easy to talk, talk, about peace, but now we have more than 1.000.000.000 poeple starving, and i will stop listening to charming poeple, sitting on millions, talking against revolutions and promoting peace...
they are no thonsands of ways to stop injustices...(history talks a lot about it...)
Dylan fooled the fools | Reviewer: You be dylan | 1/31/08
Everybody knows Dylan "converted" just to mess with our heads! He was WAY smarter than us! But he had to sell the illusion, so he talked the talk and even put out gospel music. His legacy was already solidified, he was funnin' ya, you dorks! And everybody BOUGHT IT!
My reaction.. | Reviewer: Jcruz | 1/20/08
Lennon, at least during the creation of this song, obviously had something against God and didn't get what Dylan was talking about. I know we live in a pluralistic world where truth is twisted and everyone kinda accepts each others truth whether it conflicts with your version or not... which really make no sense because truth has to apply to all people, call that my version of truth, but know this - there are absolutes out there. And Dylan thought the Christian God was it. I do think lennon is a great, talented songwriter, that aside, i have to say based on the topics he has chosen to sing about that he is a childish prideful man.
lennon crackers | Reviewer: Bob | 1/5/08
Before he died John was actually coming around to being Christian. He talked about what a load of crap evolution is and that he never bought it. He also talked about how just now he was beginning to understand the parables of Jesus. He had been doing biblical research. He had talked to seventh day adventists.First Bob becomes Christian and the John? The devil could not allow this so BANG!
on "serve somebody"... | Reviewer: andy | 11/6/07
"Serve Somebody" was the hit single from Dylan's mildly received album Slow Train Coming. He released it shortly after becoming a born-again Christian and all the songs on the album are religiously themed.
No wonder religious freak are pissed off... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/28/07
Well, John Lennon put it right in "Imagine" ...and no religion too!!! Now, in this one he puts it a bit more straightforward, so some of you religioud freks out there get pissed off - but you should have been all the time if you knew what Lennon was all about in the first place - he was always a rebel and "don´t give me that brother, brother" guy - sorry if your marshmellow picture of him just melted down - that was what he alwayis has been - that´s why the religious freaks in the 60s were pissed at him - he´s still a genius and you´ll stay religious freaks forever!
Sorry folks | Reviewer: born again | 10/18/07
Sorry folks I used to be a big beatles and Lennon fan. Then these few words changed my life "I am the way and the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me."(John 14:5-7) They idolised Dylan until he came to Jesus. Dylan was shining the the light into the darkness but the darkness comprehended it not. Dylan was right. John Lennon meant well but was wrong. Don't believe me! give your life to Jesus let him take you burden then you'll know for sure. Peace
