I can not believe how moved I am by this song and this artist voice. My father was Belfast born and worked in the shipyard and so the lyrics are special to me. I cant get his voice or the song out of my mind. In Canada we have never heard of Jimmy Nail, but this is our loss. We have missed him, I hope he has not retired. Just a few years ago I realize that the Actor Jimmy Nail and the Singer Jimmy Nail was the same person, when Swedish Television broadcasted the "Pet-series" for the second time. How can a actor with only his face express all human feelings - at the same time! Fantastic, fabulous etc! Now, I give a shit about ManU, Liverpool FC, Fulham and Chelsea. His album 'Tadpoles in a Jar" maybe his best, but trying to pick out one album is unfair. One album worth trying is his covers of better known tunes - "Ten Great Songs and an OK Voice", especially a cover of the Police's "Walking on the Moon" - very big bandish and different. "Take It or Leave It" is another album of note, some pretty good upbeat popular tracks, but as the title suggests : Jimmy Nail, you can take him or leave him, I prefer to take him....he's great.
