A little known song strikes big chord

I came across this song one day listening to a bunch of Jimmy Eat World songs I had on my computer. It was under the name "She's Perfect" which made it hard to discover it on their official site. Finally i found the real title "Softer" and was able to look up the lyrics. This song is slow for Jimmy Eat World, more mellow, yet melodic. The tempo of this song along with the vocals and the chords make it powerful and smooth, catchy yet meaningful. The drums aren't anything too spectacular or difficult, but kudos to the percussionist because the beat is great with this song and he did make it interesting. This song I think explains how someone can be unique and perfect just by being themself, and you never know who's thinking how perfect you are even if you don't think you're anything special. The line "She looks just a little bit different now, maybe a little bit softer around her eyes", I think means how many tears she may've cried, and she probably doesn't think anyone could love her, but no matter what she'll still be perfect to that one person.
