Second line is the loved one responding that the addict keeps saying their going to quit but the dont. The third line is the addict again talking to the loved one saying that if they fall into the hole they won't be able to get out, and that the loved one can't save him this time, the addict has to do it for him/herself and she/he doesn't feel where they can save him/herself. and so on it goes, the conversation of "i want to quite but i can't do it for you, and you can't help me, but i need you here" and the "you've said your going to quite but you dont, and i can't help you anymore, and i can't be here while i watch you distroy yourself" Man Jimmy eat world is Intense... but you have to love them. thought you would like to know my thoughts on the song peace out Wonderful song | Reviewer: IRONavt | 5/30/08 This song has strange effect on me.
