------ performed by Jimmy Eat World
Acoustic Version | Reviewer: Daniel | 5/20/09
There are some minor changes to the lyrics in the acoustic version of this song, but the difference is huge. It takes the song to a whole new level in my opinion. Both versions are powerful and emotive. Jimmy Eat World is one of those rare bands with the power to paint a picture, show it to you, and put you right in the middle of it. Great stuff and I can't wait for more.
Gets me right in the heart..... | Reviewer: LaurieLou | 3/10/09
I just have to comment: I don't think I've ever heard such passion and feeling in a song, ever. And I love intense bands like Blue October, Foo Fighters, Maroon Five, etc. I mean how can he have not taken this from something personal? You can see his face and his desparate, questioning, longing, and confused feelings just by the incredible tone of his voice: he finds it all: anger, resentment, LOVE, obsession. Does ANYONE know what this is about? I'd love to find out......thanks! Laurie
what jim adkins said about "dizzy" in Dublin | Reviewer: ruthlesspal | 3/4/08
I just caught Jimmy Eat World last Tuesday here in Dublin. And Adkins said that though he doesn't think he should have to pick a favourite song, if he were to be honest, he would say that this song is his and it's his favourite to play live. And then they played it and it was amazing. Yay!
Hm. | Reviewer: ahhelga | 12/23/07
At first, I was a little iffy about this one. But I must say, as the song progressed, I started to feel what Jim was saying (but it's not only 'cause I can relate to the lyrics). It's so powerful that you just have to listen to it all the way through and sit there in awe. It's one of those songs.
wonderful | Reviewer: Arne | 12/4/07
i don´t know how often i listened this song now. its great. and although its very sad..i sometimes ( with enough beer) cry..i would really like to hear it loud in some club and dance to it.
i think it´s the best song on this album.

Like so many have said before me, this song is so full of emotion. You can hear the build up in Jims voice from the first listen - you could be forgiven for thinking he was singing this from a personal perspective/experience.
Ive been a fan for 9 years and they just keep getting better!
amazing | Reviewer: carmen | 11/5/07
im just going to go ahead and repeat what everyone has been saying about this song... im a relatively new listener to JEW, my ex girlfriend actually got me to listen to the futures album and i absolutely fell in love with work and kill, but mostly 23!! sucks that 23 never got any airtime!! but ever since that album ive been a fan... i got the new cd as soon as it came out and i cant stop listening to the entire thing but mainly dizzy!! simply amazing. so much energy. gave me chills the first 57 times i listened to it!!!
incredible | Reviewer: kristen | 11/3/07
like others have said...i never thought anything could make me feel like "23" does...but "dizzy" does just that. it's so full of emotion and just a powerful song. i first heard it when they performed it at a private concert i attended on a trip for best buy...quite possibly the best night of my life.
i haven't stopped listening to it since the day the album released.
Amazing | Reviewer: Megan | 11/1/07
I never thought JEW could make up something that even comes close to '23'... but here it is.
Woooooooooah. | Reviewer: Jeff | 10/29/07
Yeah, this song is wicked good. possibly not their best overall song, but definitely their best ballad, coming out right ahead of "23" for me, which until this album was my favorite JEW song. Long story short, Dizzy is amazing.
