It takes the song to a whole new level in my opinion. Both versions are powerful and emotive. Jimmy Eat World is one of those rare bands with the power to paint a picture, show it to you, and put you right in the middle of it. Great stuff and I can't wait for more. And I love intense bands like Blue October, Foo Fighters, Maroon Five, etc. I mean how can he have not taken this from something personal? You can see his face and his desparate, questioning, longing, and confused feelings just by the incredible tone of his voice: he finds it all: anger, resentment, LOVE, obsession. And Adkins said that though he doesn't think he should have to pick a favourite song, if he were to be honest, he would say that this song is his and it's his favourite to play live.
