The Reviews about HEY BABY (NEW RISING SUN) (page 1/1)
------ performed by Jimi Hendrix

Hey Baby (New Rising Sun) | Reviewer: DJ MacDonald | 5/2/2007

This is without a doubt one of Jimi’s most underestimated and forgotten tracks (at least until the release of Jimi’s last projected album in 1997 “First Rays of the New Rising Sun”). It has such a typical feel of the era and you feel yourself just floating off into that Jupiter Sun. He was truly on his game when he wrote this, and remains one of my everlasting favorites of Hendrix music. Jimi was king and he could only have gotten better, he would have set the rock world on fire for many a year had he lived. This song has such a nice flow of guitar solo and background it’s hard to imagine that it all belongs in one song. This is a song that stands the test of time; outstanding in every way.

The land of the New Rising Sun... | Reviewer: Allen Treat | 1/23/2007

I think this was one of Jimi's better efforts ; although I don't think
the song would be complete without the "is the microphone on?" part.
I say get a copy of "First Rays of the New Rising Sun" to put the whole
thing into perspective.

Rock on Jimi, wherever you are!
