the movie is about how you get pulled into drugs and coming out of drugs. its fun. and an adventure. this song is like written for the movie. im possitive. so call if innocent if you want. but the movie goes through the effects of all drugs what they do what happens after where they lead.... definately great to watch if your trippin. listen to this song trippin too and tell me im not right.

alice is tripping | Reviewer: sameasone | 11/4/07

the movie is about lsd and natural drugs like datura and dafodils. the song is most definatly about the effects of these drugs if you re on thesedrugs and listening to the song it seams the song is a story of your life at that time. take it from a pro not from some dickhead who thinks a just a pussy kids story ;)

the meaning of this (and all) songs | Reviewer: nikki | 11/3/07

OK, i see what you all were saying... but what any song is about is always taken differently by different people. any song without an odvious meaning can seem like its about drugs, war, or anything else... It is all up to the person listening to or reading it and how they think of it.
Perfect example; Alice and Wonderland:
Some people think its about drugs (maybe it is, who knows?) But some people, and most kids, think it's about innosence.

Wow! | Reviewer: Jesus Christ | 11/2/07

Wow! You guys are retarded! You are really getting too "deep" with the songs meaning. Just take the song as what you see it as. That's really what the band really wanted.

what i think | Reviewer: - | 11/1/07

Ok this song may be about drugs...
But, what does it matter?
your opinion won't change anythingxD
Let this great artist say what she wants...
she is also fanatic of Alice in Wonderland

Victorian Society | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/30/07

Alice and Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass were, clearly, influences in this song. But, this book could have been Carroll's way of showing the flaws in the Victorian society and Jefferson Airplane could have used the same approach. I personally see great ties to drugs, but the only drug anyone can be "sure" of Carroll's use would be that of Laudanum (I think that's the spelling) which was made from opium. No serious documentation has been presented to link Carroll to hallucinogens or marijuana.

Michael is right and something more | Reviewer: Stefan | 10/30/07

Thx to Michael for his very interesting and good analysis of the song. I think he is right about everything.
The part "feed your haed" can also be understood as anti-war metaphor. Education mostly saves you from doing stupid things as making war, or going into the war because "men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go".
Anyway a wonderful song!!

idiots | Reviewer: johnbickerton | 10/27/07

anyone who says this song, or the alice in wonderland movie have nothing to do with drugs your obviously your a fuckin idiot
and its not like some big hidden meaning you fucks, if you were into the drug culture at all you'd know what that movie and this song are all about

first song to reference drugs... I think not Mike... | Reviewer: Sukie310 | 10/28/07

How 'bout Heroin by Velvet Underground(1965) and many of the blues songs from much earlier in the 20th century.... The song is clearly about the "possible" drug references in Alice In Wonderland, but no one other then Lewis Carroll can know for sure if that was his intent or just how we read into it now....

It is about AIW | Reviewer: George | 10/24/07

It's about Alice in Wonderland and the fact that people read it to their children, including the alleged drug references, and then are surprised that they start taking drugs
