The Reviews about White Rabbit (page 12/ 28)
------ performed by Jefferson Airplane

Okay so uhh the song was written around the 60s era, when heavy drugs were hitting hard and I can assure you that the song does have something to do with drugs. And Jefferson Airplane were big on doing drugs in the 60s, after all they did play at Woodstock in 1969, which was the biggest hippie concert ever, for that time period. The song is a great song, and anyone who disrespects it, has no clue behind it's true meaning. And the song is a statement.

This song IS about drug use. Note the pills, hookah, mushrooms. They wrote this song in a rebellious way towards parents that were against psychadelic drug use as a response that many of the fairy tales read to children by parents did infact have to do with drugs. BAM. did a report on it in school.

Pffft! | Reviewer: Mizz JoEy | 7/4/08

Lighten up people and just ENJOY this beautiful song. The artist writes it for whatever reason it may be but it is up to you the individual to interpret it the way you want to. I don't do drugs and I love Lewis Carroll's story. I can easily say OH! NO! I shouldn't like this song because it is really about drugs or I can just as well say OH! NO! I shouldn't like Alice in Wonderland because it was rumored that he "liked" the real Alice and she was just little girl and he's a child lover. The point is I bet you half of the things we owne cds...books...movies..clothes is made by people who can be insane drug users or rapists or racist or crazy etc etc. We will NEVER know. We just know what WE feel...So just ENJOY IT!

look guys, how about this: none of you know anything about the song because you didn't write it and most of you probably aren't even old enough to have been around when it was written. And none of you know anything about the book because well, yeah. So STFU

The active ingredient in magic mushrooms are surprisingly similar to LSD. However its not.
I can imagine that Lewis Carol was a psychotic person. Which meant he was hallucinating without any substance. Strange enough, if you give hallucinogenic drugs to those people they will act normal. Their trip will be our "reality".

To Donald.
Sorry mate, this IS a drug song. Maybe you've got the wrong idea on drugs. Personally i don't think there is anything wrong with Psychedelic drug use. But one should make difference between heroin and acid or shrooms. Opiate drugs fuck your body up. Psychedelic drugs can only fuck your mind up, and only if your mind is already fucked up, but you haven't realised it yet. And mind you, when this song was written, a lot more people experimented with drugs, then now.

Final words: I think, the song, the movie, the book is about a different state of mind. It doesn't matter how you achieve it.

FEED YOUR HEAD!

Try Getting a Migraine | Reviewer: Useless Info Collector | 5/30/08

Lewis Carrol acutally suffered from severe migraines, so severe that they came with "auras", a rather uncommon side effect where your senses and perceptions are changed. It has been speculated, not sure if there's consensus on this or not, but that auras are like mini seisures in the brain. Most auras involve visions of tiny, repetive patterns, but some also involve criss crossing of the sensus such as smell and sound. Many think that was where he got his inspiration for the "trip". But it is also true that he taught a girl named Alice and the book was ment to be a childrens story.

Bottom Line: song is freaking awesome and the book is a mind-bender.

LSD has NOT been used "naturally" for thousands of years. it was synthesized for the first time in 1938. while there may be plants that naturally produce lysergic acid, this substance is NOT LSD. it is only a PRECURSOR. lysergic acid diethylamide MUST be synthesized by man, albeit from natural precursors. please attempt at least a modicum of research before you post inaccuracies.
