Disgrace | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/28/08 The game trailer is complete disgrace to this song and it's histry, i am a pretty big "gamer", myself, and i love videogames, but in my oppinion, putting htis song in an '08 game with japanese art bases in it, and one that has NOTHING to do with the SONG, is an utter disgrace through my eyes, just because some producer who liked that song, just like the rest of you (who the majority of which probobly hadn't even heard this song until that damn game came out) doesn't mean it should have gone into this game, a game which will rise, be played, slowly fade into the infamous history of shitty games, and then be gone forever, when this SONG will be loved until the end of democratic days. I'm nominally relieved that at least a few scattered souls who have happened upon this website reference their classic English literature before Disney cartoons. However, my primary point of dissent in this message is the nauseating fact that not only has this masterfully beautiful and emotionally-charged piece of sincere 60's era musical craft been degraded into another cheap advertising gimmick intended to sell video games to the same unconscious demographic which soaks up the crowd-rousing, radio-friendly product (disguised as music) normally used for the same purpose. What's worse... I came here as a mere test directly after seeing the aforementioned video game advertisement practically shielding my eyes in the utter hope and horror that no one had dared to reference this wonderful song to that commercial. Needless to say, I was more than disappointed. Also, seeing as how the previous line mentions Alice losing her head, wouldn't it be feasible for the lines that follow it be "keep your head"? Thing is, it's never sounded like nor made any sense to me for it to be "feed", plus there's what I find to be a definite 'P' sound at the end of the word within both of the final lines: "Feep", it clearly isn't. Most of the lyrics websites I've encountered—as well as the people I know who are fans of "White Rabbit"—apparently hear "keep" as well. Perhaps a commonly misheard lyric, whichever word is correct? However, if you wanna go the drug reference route, the first rule of tripping on hallucinogenic drugs such as LSD, peyote or mushrooms is to, above all else, "keep your head." After reading about the Jefferson Airplane song in Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas", I just had to get a listen. Been a fan ever since. If you liked this song, get the whole album. Definitely one you should hear. psychadelics in wonderland | Reviewer: gmachine | 2/18/08 while I agree alice in wonderland doesn't have lsd references, I do believe the author has used psychadelics of some sort, do a search on youtube for sacred weeds. The one on the fly agaric makes connections to wonderland. Also it's an insightful documentary on the history of hallucinogens.
