I've never heard this by J.A. Grace is awesome on this song, can't believe it's her. Crosby had to be pleased they, (J.A.) didn't wreck it like they did wooden ships....wonderfull version. I'd like to hear the byrds version, but that's hard to find.
Water Brothers | Reviewer: Shawn | 2/29/2008
"[W]ater brothers" refers to the book Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein. In the book "water brother" was a term used to identify a group of very close personal relations of Micheal Valentine Smith, closer than family in a sense. It was not out of the ordinary for water brothers to all "grow closer" in a sexual sense.
Note, that the "brother" part of water brother does not denote gender, since there were a multitude of female water brothers.

The best song I know from Grace Slick (lead singer). Here voice is full of quiety. Very relaxed and peacefull, but also with a great tension.

Sweet and simple, it is a revealing image of the layers and depths of love, or an image of someone who cannot quite commit. Depends on who is listening i suppose.

A beautiful, simple song (with a complex answer :-) ) written by David Crosby who does, in my opinion, a far more heartfelt version
