TRUE LOVE | Reviewer: Christopher S. | 9/11/13
The song and the lyrics are perfect, the VOICE was excellent, and the true talent of Jason MRAZ from the start up to the end of the song was impeccable... the song can be true to most love relationships, it talks about a man who wants to have the girl back in his life, promising not to do the same mistakes he did and probably make amends just to get her back... can't blame him, because she is his TRUE LOVE...
What I think | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/7/13
This song reminds me of sometihng that happened to me. I dont think its about being gay or homosexual, even though I wouldn't mind it if it did, but this is just one gal's opinion;
I think it's about trying to move on. Looking for someone who lives up to someone you loved a lot, but it isn't working. Just curious about whether or not, you should have broke it off, or if everything would have turned out ok if they hadnt broke up. This song really speaks to me.
Love, obviously! :) | Reviewer: teefy | 8/16/12
Its a sad song...distraught and wishing.
"Mr. Curiosity" is his inner battle regarding some void he is feeling, and it is killing him. He's looking to it (curiosity) for salvation---some answers. He has messed something up, something he loved. He wants to understand it (i.e. curiosity) and instead gets tormented by his own self criticisms and guilt and blame...also a result of curiosity. He just can't stop thinking about it, beating himself up, he wants the thinking to make it better! Not worse!
"Love is blinding when you're timing is never right"..."But at least I tried"
The entire last verse makes my argument, I think. Its him confirming that it is A Hopeless love song.
curious | Reviewer: idarshero | 2/23/12
many of his songs sometimes difficult to understand and perhaps only him that knows its meaning. I think he's really like a true poet who makes his songs to be difficult to understand way (lol) like Mr Curiosity, I really really want to know what it means. Can we ask directly to Mr. Mraz? :)
my oppinion | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/12/11
i've just heard this song and find this lyrics, it's so damn hard to understand for me, but i think this "mr. curiosity" is a sad one, a desperate one that wanna live this life from zero again. start all over again.
even mraz is abstract, it's hard to say it's a melancholy or happy ending song just by hear it, must read lyric more and more again
3 words | Reviewer: Apple | 5/30/11
i have read the ones below me, and it made me INSPIRED to write one too. ALL I WANNA SAY is in the title- :) ALL I WANT TO SAY TO EVERYONE!~ is that...i love it. no other complicated words can replace these three <3
I think this song is about... | Reviewer: Karl | 1/5/11
it's about a person who loses his ability to love somebody... his patience grows thin all the time, and he is calling on himself because he is ready to get his life on the road again, properly. I don't know about the homosexual angle of the song, but to me, this song caught my soul the most because I think i have lost my ability to love someone because I have been hurt so much. I'm ready to love, but I just feel like i am so done with it as well. Come and find me, mr. curiousity and mr. patient. :/
My View. | Reviewer: Corinne. | 7/12/10
It hadn't occurred to me there even was a homosexuality angle of this song. I think analyzing it in that way is far to literal. Not that I have a problem with it, if it was about homosexuality. It's a beautiful song either way. I feel as though it's more about finding a meaning of life though. I feel like "Mr. Curiosity" is a person's reason for living. I also feel that this song reeks of depression, from the melancholy melody and the emotion in his voice. Every time he performs this song I feel all the emotion he puts in it. I might be dead wrong but... that's my view (:
I like this song | Reviewer: anon | 7/10/10
I love this song. Personally I had to read other people's comments to see the homosexuality angle of it, though. Not that I have anything against that, just that it never occurred to me. To me, whenever I heard the lyric, "Mr. Curiosity be Mr. please do come and find me.", I thought of it as saying someone had lost a part of themselves that they wish they could have back.
I especially got that because of the line "Mr. Curious, come back to me.".
Just a different way of looking at it, though.
what this song is about | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/24/10
i doubt this song is about a gay guy looking for a straight guy. i think mr curiosity doesn't refer to anyone, and it isn't meant to be a person, it's more like a personification of curiosity. It's something like Cupid just that cupid is a symbol of love and is prob more "human" than mr curiosity. I think that the guy involved here is just tired of being curious so he asks mr curiosity all those questions and stuff. however you are still entitled to your own view.
what's the song about | Reviewer: lagataw | 1/9/10
i really really love the song...actually more than i love his other songs. but i don't wanna hear my voice singing it! not that it sounds bad...'s just that, don't ya'll think i'd sound gay if i sang it? i mean lyrics-wise (not really the opera part). why would a guy sing a song for MR Curiosity. at the risk of sounding stupid, i wanna know WHAT THE SONG IS REALLY ALL ABOUT! i know music is not really supposed to be understood through lyrics...it just has to be felt and enjoyed...but sometimes it's the lyrics that makes us love the song...just like in "A Beautiful Mess" and jolly "Sleep All Day"...for me, the song is about a gay guy who's tired of being alone and who's now looking for his "Mr Curiosity" (a straight guy who's just curious). sorry if my interpretation is sick but i've been looking up the web for the meaning of the song but it's always in vain!
Jason Mraz is a god!
funny people | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/21/09
love this song. love jason mraz. but what's up with people slating other people's opinions on here rather than just giving their own?! whether or not a person can spell the word opera, or any word for that matter, is irrelevant in their judgement of music. everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and they won't be right or wrong it will just be their opinion. so chill people!

A song I will never forget | Reviewer: Cloudy | 3/17/09
It is a fantastic song that you can easily get impressed by the words and his voice. The sentence I like most is the last one, at least I've tried. I always listen it at midnight, it can calm you and makes you feel like everything you are troubled is not exactly a trouble.
An incredible preformer | Reviewer: Ashley | 3/7/09
Mraz is an incredibly talented musician. He can do anything, and he does whatever he wants to do. All of his songs are laden with an incredible reality and emotional vulnerability. There's no question that he feels the words that he's singing. He has a great talent for meaningfully stringing together words inside of smooth and catchy melodies.
I always feel like he's having a conversation with his listener, like he's trying to tell us something.
I was pretty impressed when I heard that the opera solo was his, but not at all surpried--he has incredible vocal control, even if it sometimes hides the true extent of his talent in simple sounding songs.
