Wow!! This is definately one of my top fav songs!!! I'm not quite sure how the drug thing was what they saw.....but anyway.....great song!! And i think Jason Mraz has an amazing soft voice!!! (Not soft like texture or volume! Like how smooth it it) Tonight had not been a fun night...but then i listened to this song...and now......i'm much much happier!! Thanks Jason Mraz!!!

THe lyrics above are not completely accurate but even so, this song is one of the best songs I have heard so far. My boyfriend and I live together and we are always fighting, when I am in my truck I play this song and it cheers me up, I guess it is wrong to say but I wish my boyfriend would be romantic and kind like this.. How could you possibly think this song is about drugs?!!? When he is talking about looking at his tounge in the mirror, he's not talking about coke... he's examining the words that he spoke... and backwards is saying that he spoke from his asshole. He's really just saying what he means... no more, no less.. some people just don't see things for what they are... No need to complicate.

Omg I loveee this song!!! Lol ok so one day me and my boyfriend were talking in his car and he's like I wanna dedicate a song to u. So I was like ok....what song? He just smiled at me and put this song on and the whole time it was playing he smiled and looked into my eyes. When it was over I was speachless......so I just kissed him lol. Personally i enjoy this song wholeheartedly and take it not just one way but many ways. I would agree with most of the already posted reviews here and suggest that what Mr. Mraz means is what you interpret it to mean. I am not entirely sure about the drug thing but I can see how it could be thought of that way. Otherwise I belive this song to be beautiful from most perspectives. Whether it is meant to be interpreted a specific way I don't know. In the meantime we should just be happy that it's a beautiful music piece meant to cheer people up and tell them to live in the moment, or be less vain and materialistic or however you want to take it. That is my view on this song I hope you take it to heart... just here to share goodbye everyone.

The first time i heard this song it made me just want to sing at the top of my lungs and just smile. So thats exactly what I did. I sang it sooo much everytime a friend of mine heard it, id receive a call or text saying that my theme song just played....which takes me to the next part.
One of my bestest friends/first love but were always off and on well he hated this song when he first heard it and that bothered me cuz i knew he wasnt really listening, so i did what i had to do. We drove around in the woods for hours talking and listening to music and i put "Im Yours" on and i sang it to him and looked at him dead in the eyes. And at the end he smiled and said he did like the song but not by itself, he said he only loved it when i was with him to sing it to him, cuz he loved the way he could tell it made me feel and honestly it explained our relationship quite well. So i defeated his hate for the song so for the next year or two anytime he heard the song he would call me or send me texts with lyrics and he always sent me one that said "its our god forsaken right to be loved" i loved that line but it was one of the only ones i didnt quite understand what it meant.So one day i asked him what he thought it meant and he told me simply that its our god given right to be loved but we take advantage of it more than we embace it. sooo there was my answer but then there was more to it, and we started talking about the entire song, and how we interperted it for ourselves was that no matter what we do in our lives, good or bad, wrong or right, appreciated or taken for granted that we always had the right and ability to love and not only love but love unconditionally too and that applied to us simply that way.whether that was just as a friend or more than a friend or as lovers but we always told eachother after that "im yours"..... so now i come to a few months ago, he decided that his time was short and he ended his own life. and one of the last sweet texts i got from him was "its our god forsaken right to be loved"... hes now gone and one way i keep him with me is to crank up that song and just sing and when i do i feel it deep inside me. i feel him around me... and i find its his way of reminding me to love with all i got and try not to it for granted that its our right to be loved and if i do take it for granted, that god will always give you the right to fix it....

some day when im up there in heaven, we will sing it again....

Its got like a jamaican feeling, like a couple on a beach and the sun is setting with palm trees, its great! I luv it but who the hell would try to look at their tounge in the mirror? just a little wierd but i still luv the song and Jason Mraz!

May be I'm wrong, but I would like what I read in this beautiful song. For me instead of everybody hear, this song is about some ex-addicted. The drugs are so "hot" ...that I melted. He is trying to get back and is the time to ...win some or learn something.
Right now, he don't...want to hesitate no more, no more. And the mirror, obviously, the mirror.
I'm not sure, but now I'm thinking: this is our fate. I'm yours. Is like someone converted and belonging to the Lord.

Anyway, I loved the song and I'll be send it to a friend which fight to leave the drugs.

Man this song is like the best thing when it come to enjoy with everyone you love.I love this song so much that i can play it in my guitar and well it tight man.And well it helps me to cheer alot of times when im depressed.

i think it's and awsome song! whenever i listen to it i feel so relaxed and calm. i actually listen to the lyrics, thank you very much, and i think it's very honest. even if it wasn't i still think the lyrics are great. i think the song is saying that you just forget about all of the hard things in life and just enjoy the here and the now, everything will be worth while.

I love the song, like most everybody else. I feel I could listen to it a million times without getting tired. As for the lyrics, I really think that Jason Mraz just got the words wrong. For example, when he says "God-fosaken right", I think he really means "God-given right". We should ask him what he really meant, and maybe get a dictionary for his next birthday.
