i really like this song. i first heard it in the movie australia when the cook was playing the ukulele and singing the tone. thats my favorite movie so i looked it up and now i play it over and over again!! and i think this song was originally by iron and wine and postal service made their own version i like this one better:)

good song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/29/09

Does it realy matter who wrote the song? Its an amazing song either way the only reason ive ever heard this song was because i was staring into my loves eyes when it started playing and ever since it been one of our songs and i like this version better. But whats the point in who wrote it and sang it its only a song not the bible

im pretty sure most people know that this song is originally by The Postal Service. i personally liked both of them, the original one was more upbeat of course but the iron and wine cover made it sound more romantic and mellow.
i really liked both th original and the cover and really like both bands. :D

For the record. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/4/09

Okay have any of you done your research. The song waspo was respectivly written by two of the postal service members. It is quote "the first positive love song they ever wrote."

The iron and wine cover was realsed along with the originalin 2003.

Jesus idiots.
And in my opinion the postal service verison is the better. Its upbeat like it should be, and I personally find its more romantic.

HONESTLY... | Reviewer: SERENA , | 9/2/08

Iron and Wine covered this song from The Postal Service darlings...get over it honestly. If you listen to the lyrics..."I tried my best to leave this song on your machine, but the persistent beat it sounded thin upon listening..." the Iron and Wine version is too slow for that and the Postal Service version actually has a persistent beat. Iron and Wine's version is romantic...but Ben, who is an amazing writer fuck you very much people, wrote this song. Thank you and goodnight.

BEST SONG EVER! | Reviewer: harold fuc-kmeass | 12/4/07

actualt the postal service version isn;t near as romantic as this one and the guy with teh gay comment is an idiot. I care who wrote it because when you actually get a story and a person behind it youleanr more into what is really going on and why this person would write it. It's like a poem I love and when the author came to town it shed something new into it and made me more appreciative of the art.

HAHAHA | Reviewer: Mandyyy | 11/23/07

to be honest.. who actually cares who wrote it etc.

it's an amazing song either way.
although, just to be included.. my votes that Iron&Wine wrote it :)

let's sing ;] x

gosh! | Reviewer: duzzispud | 9/21/07

It's an awsome song, i think the postal service version is a shocking cover! let me make that clear to all you stupid people out there, yes it is a COVER. Iron & Wine originally did this song, get your priorities right GOSH!
