Respect theous soldiers | Reviewer: SOMONE | 10/7/09
I'm really respect them. young people who just start to live the live go to war, death wor to protect theirs femilly and friend and make HISTORY. acctually I'm feel one of them, going out of the ship, fire and die, but I think that they don't know were they going, but know that they go to wor.
To LUSE, OR WON.
SERVIVR, or DIE.

When you really get a chance to listen to this song, and listen to the lyrics, you can picture yourself, a valiant soldier, in a boat entering "hell's gate". Bullets flying, people screaming out in pain, red water everywhere...
We must all respect those who fought that bloody day, and all those who fought and died before it. But we must remember that the people who fought and died there did so because they were doing it for a right cause. No one should ever forget that day.
MAIDEN FOREVER!!!
great song | Reviewer: Me | 3/27/08
this is really a great song, if not the best of Iron Maiden. A friend of mine let me hear it a few weeks ago, I hadn't heard of Iron Maiden by that time. I thought the music was pretty good, worth listning again. But the second time (and the third, and the fourth etc), when I paid attention to the lyrics, it was really, really good. When you hear this, you can see it all happen. The boats, the cliffs everything. It's really a special song, you really get into it. Good work Maiden!
A truly heartwrenching song | Reviewer: A soldier's boy | 10/25/07
I am the son of a soldier, and this song just tears me up. It truly ranks up there in some of the greatest songs I've heard. When I'm not lost in thought about what it means, what the hell of war is, this isn't just a great message, its a kickass song. Those who are looking for other great songs that illustrate the horrors of war, I highly recommend Black Rain, the title track of Ozzy's newest album. Viva la Iron Maiden!
Best Song ever written | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/24/07
i turly love the lyrics and symbolism they use to describe dday.
it makes you feel like you were there almost. i get a wierd feeling in my stomach in the beginning cuz it makes you feel like you're in the landing craft. very descriptive, best song ever!
A great song for remembering those who sacrificed so much... | Reviewer: Zach | 8/6/07
This song is excellent, and every time I listen to it, I remember the hell those brave men went through to preserve freedom for the world and defeat the forces of evil. World War 2 really was the great war, the war that was fought for righteousness and good...now all of our wars are for oil and resources.
D-Day is truly the day that changed the world...time stood still, and minutes turned to hours as those men fought valiantly to defeat the Nazi war machine.
God bless the men who fought, fight and will continue to fight for our country, for freedom and for the world.

this song almost bring tears to my eyes, to think what people my age 60 years ago choose to do, what they felt they needed to do, the people that threw there lives on the nazi onslaught cause it was the right thing to do, i respect every single person who fought in ww2, on the allie side that is, i am german dont get me wrong they where fighting for what they deemed right 2 but they, where talked into beliving something that was wrong
well enough of my rant
