Good music, terrible lyrics | Reviewer: William | 4/10/13

How many times can you fit the word dead in a song? The music is great, gers really fits the prog metal style of Maiden, but I think harris writes too much these days, and his lyrics have suffered.

1000000000000000% AWESOME!! | Reviewer: Iron Maiden Fan! | 1/14/13

PURE AWESOMENESS! The guitar work in this song is orgasmic, so much talent and skill is shown! Iron Maiden is my favourite band and this song is one of the best, however I do also enjoy the guitar work in Out Of The Silent Planet. If you haven't heard it .... Go listen to it NOW! GO! DO IT! x

best song of all time | Reviewer: aaron | 12/29/12

Danse macabre | Reviewer: Random | 12/13/11

This song is about the Danse macabre or "dance of the dead" where the undead lift the soul from a living person. It's meant to represent how everyone is united in death. It's normally features a pope, king, labourer and child plus some skeletons.

king of heavymetal | Reviewer: anirban | 10/11/11

Iron maiden is one of my favorite bands..... I listened this song few days ago, and I really loved it a lot, it is very similar with the song Ghost of the navigator by iron maiden......... Though ghost of the navigator is much more musically enriched..

My little comment | Reviewer: Darth Sidious | 9/27/11

Sorry, this is going to be a bit longer.
So firstly, Wali Usmani, youre mixing apples and pears (sorry don't know if English use this frase), Powerslave is from year 1984 and there are some legendary songs like Powerslave, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Aces High, Flash of the Blade... but it misses those melodical solos, which can only be played with three guitars, three guitars play in IM from year 2000, since the return of Adrian Smith and Bruce Dickinson, Janick, who used to be in IM instead of Adrian stayed there. And that year (2000) was also released album Brave New World, so it isn't an oldschool album at all, althought it's great.
Secondly, at the moment (about last three weeks) my most favourite albums are A Matter of Life and Death and Dance of Death, because Maidens have gode even bettter in time and those two are beautiful, however, they're also hard. And in Dance of Death, No More Lies and Rainmaker I really love those solos.
Up the Irons from the Czech Republic!

Awesome song | Reviewer: Wali Usmani | 4/7/10

Superb Song probably one of the best... Im actually a relatively new fan... but out of all their albums, especially some of the old ones like powerslave and brave new world, i must admit, i like Dance of Death the most. And this song the best out of all of them. UP THE IRONS FROM PAKISTAN!

best song | Reviewer: Robert | 1/23/10

I can relate so much to this song, because I encounter a similar experience in the everglades where my unconscious mind felt like it was lifted from me for a brief moment. I didn't know if I was alive or dead.

a really really great song.
but just to say some things, and correct some mistakes. (with the best intentions, ofc.)

steve didn't write this song, janick did. it was the first (and the only, i think) song he wrote for maiden.

and to beorn: i don't know was it accidentally or not, but you wrote that bruce has done the vocals since number of the beast thus far. but that's only partially right. blaza bayley sang for maiden in the late 90's on two albums.

sorry for the length of the comment, cheers.

Best Iron Maiden song. | Reviewer: Pottle-D | 7/20/09

Personally this is their best song. It sends me through so many different emotions when I am listening to it & the solo is just epic beyond all preportions. Iron Maiden the best band the world will ever see.

Most greatest song | Reviewer: Dylan jaeger | 6/23/09

I'm a huge maiden fan and have been for 6 years now and I'm only 17. Not to sound corny or wired but this song is so beautiful if u really listen to it. This song is now my favorite song and I can't stop listening to it !!!! Up the irons

possible | Reviewer: Clint | 3/7/09

this i heard from a friend's brother, and it's that "may be the character was such a girl that he couldn't withstand having a singe shot". I thouht that was a total bull shit, but i'm submitting this just in case, if one of you guys think it might be interesting. Awesome song, i'm listening to ir while i write this :D. I love the part that says "when you're lying in your sleep, when you're lying in your bed, and you wake from your dreams to go dancing with the dead".

scary | Reviewer: mike | 12/4/08

Man I took a walk around my neighborhood (which is pretty much surrounded by trees and stuff) at around 11 pm. This song was creeping me out.....some advice: Do not listen to this song while high as fuck at 11 pm while walking around by yourself.

Iron Maiden ftw | Reviewer: Sunbeat | 11/21/08
