Dance of Death | Reviewer: Daniel J | 8/16/07

This has to be one of my favorite songs of all time. It reminds me of being a kid again telling ghost stories. This one however has a hidden moral to it to always expect the unexpected. At any time and in any place death can find you and take you away to do the "dance of death". Also the fact that this experience lives with the singer/story teller forever and is so vivid in his mind that he refuses to dance until he meets the undead again is very powerful to me. If you have ever had a truly life changing experience that you know will live with you until the day that you die, then you know what i mean.

Basically...fuckin eh. Go Iron Maiden!

A theory of the meaning of the music | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/17/07

I think the music is about a man who have lived as much as possible... and one night as he was drunk he had a near death experience and survived... so he gave up putting his life on the limit and wait for the day when we'll dance with the dead that is when he trully dies...xD

about the song | Reviewer: ivana | 8/8/07

i adore this song. i can listen it whole day. i feel really strange, and yet really excitiing when i listen this song. i think that he dicribe his meeting with death in very misterioud and interesting way, trought the dance...

Metaphoric, true, but... | Reviewer: kinrowan | 7/20/07

What this song is primarily about is a guy got drunk (issue of alcoholism is unclear) and was kidnapped into a faerie revel. The music is indicative of such mythical event and the story of how he lost sense of reality, was kidnapped into the Dance, and then the Others started quarreling... Everything points to an encounter with Faerie. Right down to it staying with him for the rest of his life. He never could get the music, especially, out of his mind.

At the same time, did it really happen, or was it the wine?

As perhaps the last (god I hope not) we'll see of Maiden, this might count as the best they can do, and will be difficult, if not impossible, to rival, much less top. I'm glad they continued beyond the heyday of Baroque Heavy Metal.

Great song. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/9/07

I really enjoy this song, the lyrics are great. I like the one with the orchestra a lot.

Dance of Death | Reviewer: tim | 7/5/07

this song is one of my favourite songs. it has a great range, and offers a story and message( both well backed by the music). this song speaks of a mans experience with death, which is insinuated as being due to exceses in life i.e alchaholism, and how the experience gave better appreciation of life.....and death.

u r really a good man when u dance whith death and but i saw that ur story that u showed in song a magical thing not for just music nut for satisfaktion and rfersh our selves

Magic song | Reviewer: Ankush | 6/15/07

I think this song is a magic song coz first the singer creates a plot of fear and excitment as if everything was happening in real , then in the second last paragraph that he sings he tells that this was just his dream , and then in the last para he tells that he didn't knew why he was let go.............so this is a mystery whether it happened really or it was just his mere dream

A Great Song, One More!!! | Reviewer: Eddie | 6/7/07

Well, I believe that this song is all about life and death. That you should live fully, experience everything but be prepared for the end that might come ANYTIME so you won't get to dance with the death.

It's about this man that was given a second chance to live again.

Great Dance Of Death | Reviewer: Nirbhaya | 5/23/07

I was rambling, enjoying the bright moonlight. Gazing up at the stars.
not aware of a presence so near to me. Watching my every move.

Feeling scared and I fell to my knees. As something rushed me from the trees.
Took me to an unholy place. And that is where I fell from grace.

This line has created an impact on me and I personally can listen this for hours.

Hats off for Iron Maiden
