I listened to Franz Ferdinand before Interpol and I see absolutely no viable correlation in the musical style. Franz Ferdinand is way more in your face than Interpol, who takes a very subdued, eclectic approach to their music. I love both bands equally but they sound nothing alike. "Take You On A Cruise" is a truely wonderful & beautiful song. I was a teenager when Joy Division were around and saw footage on tv of them.
