this is definitely anti-war.
"Some thing's unclean in your ear
When only blood fills your cup"
I think this line is about how most American people are deceived about the true purpose of the war in Iraq. We think we are trying to liberate a country, but we are also their for oil. We are not helping the country very much, we have only made it more unstable, but we have more control over oil now. We have spilled blood for oil, but most Americans don't realize this.
"I'm trying to focus but my eyes deceive me, yeah
Focus
I'm witnessing history... repeating"
This is about the media manipulation in our country. If you watch mainstream media like FOX news and the other corporate news, we are led to believe that we are at war simply to liberate countries and spread democracies, but there are other agendas such as oil. We also don't see the harsh reality of war, such as all the bodies, since the mainstream media censors it. We see a happy, censored version of reality. We have gone to war like this before, such as in Vietnam, but apparently we have not learned are lesson because we are doing it again, this time in Iraq and soon Iran. History is repeating.
"We are, we know, we see, we think for you, yeah
The who, the what, the when, the where, the why
We build your hill, we build you too, we see you all...."
I think this is a mixed meaning. At first, Brandon is talking about how the media controls our perception of reality by controlling what we see in the news, etc. (who what where when why) Then the next part (we build your hill) is talking about the government, how we put these people into power, and how we are watching what they are doing, and we know about their frauds, lies, scandals, and secret agendas (at least some of us do).
