I just broke up with my girlfriend 10 days ago. There wasn't anything wrong, but I just couldn't see a future for us. She has no clue how hard it is to break your own heart for the good of both of us... Anyway, this song is perfect, because I have never missed her so much and the lyrics are exaclty what has happened every day since she has been gone.

on the night of my bday, my boyfriend took me out to dinner and then to see one of my favorite bands play. afterwwards he played his guitar for me and then took me home. when sitting in the driveway, this song came on his ipod. (before this we hadn't said that we loved eachother) as it was playing, he said, it should replace i miss you with i love you. its a great song, and it brings up good memories.

Im going away to college, and my gf dumped be because i'll be gone for 3 months before I get to see her again... It just hurts to listen to and see the reviews on here. I wish she could wait for me :*(

I couldn't even look at him. I thought I was going to cry... It was th sweetest thing anyones ever said or done for me... It's an amazing song and the reason I want to listen to more Incubus.

My boyfriend of a year has just signed up for the Army, and will be shipping out soon (possibly before my birthday which kind of sucks). When he leaves it will be a solid 7 months before I get to spend any real time with him. I value every moment with him because eventually he will be sent on his tour in Iraq and he'll be gone for about 15 months.

When we first began dating I took a trip home to see my family and a couple of days after I left I was talking to him on the phone and his cheeseball self told me that he'd listened to this song non stop since I left (Incubus is his favorite band so I wasn't too shocked).


How crazy that it was our song then and it will be our song again, very soon.

I remember listening to this song in my friend Josh's car cuz incubus is his favorite band and I remember liking it soooo much and thinking of how I wished a guy thought that about me...until my recent bf who is perfect made me a CD and this song was on it and I love it even more! so now I dedicate those words to him cuz i love him sooo much and i know this will be our song when I go to New York for 6 months to study at NYU...but i love this song im addicted now! lol

he does everything i dreamed. i cant explain the feeelings. he has left me for now. he will be home soon. i pray hes home soon. i gave him this song. i no he will think of me. i hope he misses me as much as i do.

the cool thing about incubus is that they don't like to tell you the meaning of their songs. they allow you to interpret their lyrics your own way. so, this song can mean many different things to many different people. i love this song, it's beautifully written, and is sung by the lovely brandon boyd so well.
to me, right now, this song explains the situation i have with someone perfectly.
we both like each other, but he's with someone else right now, and i miss him. but maybe someday, i'll be with him. whether far or soon.

Its funny, that this song speaks exactly the situation between someone I love and I. Its also funny that he loves Incubus as much as I do.
I just wish one day in my life ill be telling him how this song makes me cry thinking about him.

I was attending a 2 week water polo training camp at the naval academy and ended up having a fling with one of the coaches who attends the academy. Though he is now graduated and a commsioned marine and my parents are both military so both of us move a lot. well after that summer an incredible friendship developed from that. I currebtly live in spain and he lives in virginia. the last time we got to see each other he flew out to spain and on our last night together we were sitting in my car and this song came on. we both just looked at each other and made a promise that no matter how long it had been since we had seen each other or how far apart we were whenever we heard this song we would stop and think about each other. just something to help make the distance seem not so far.

I absolutely love this song.. it makes me cry almost every time i hear it. Such a great song and such a great band :)

but we live in different cities..and my dad makes it difficult for us to see each other..in 8 days he will be 18 and he was planning to come see me..but last night I told him I wanted a break. I regret it..just as I always regret certain decisions when it comes to him. He loves Incubus and told me about this song. I downloaded it and have listened to it about 30 times now..

just not sure what will happen with us..I want things to work so bad, but it seems they may not..=[..I hope he does know how much I love him. Anyway..great song! Will always make me think of Corey..
