Their music is a brilliant combination of harmonics, intense lyrics, stunning vocal work and intricate solo's. The raw emotion, energy and hard work the band puts into their music is visible in any and all of their songs. My personal favourite tracks are: Reflect The Storm (Come Clarity), Trigger (Reroute to Remain), Like You Better Dead (Soundtrack To You're Escape, Clad In Shadows '99 (Colony) and Swim (Clayman). They are Melodic Death - mixing melody, harmonics and poetic lyrics with crunchy guitar riffs, blast beats and death grunts. Their music is intense and epic, resembling God-like intense anthems. Forget the nonsense on MTV (the worst thing that's ever happened to mankind's brain), listen to this! If you like metal and you've never heard of In Flames, give them a go! Every song is filled with brutality and riffs whilst maintaining a beautiful melody. Good Charlotte has a song called the Anthem. What absolute crap. That song is pure pop-punk tripe. The don't DESERVE to have a song called that. In Flames does. This is the pinnacle of what music should be. In a world where teen pop stars have taken over, In Flames are a breath of fresh air. Forget all that pop crap, this is what music was mwant to be. It is my personal opinion that more bands should use the creative energy that they ought to have and do something as original and creative.
