i love thiss song. last year when my boyfriend broke up with me after a year. my friendd introduced me to thiss songg.. everytime i listen to it it makes me think of himm but it tellss me no matter who he is with he will remember me.

Yeah women, some of you will always be his lady and his girl. Some guys(I hate to admit)may have more than ONE, "Lady" or "Girl." Please be aware of this. Fell in love with the song the first time I heard it. Heather deserves the Grammy and Tony she has won. The best part of the song is the part where the song says--when you let go of love and it doesn't come back it is something you had to go through to grow! Wow!

This song was written & performed by Shannon sanders in 1999 on his cd "Outta Nowhere". His version has a much more masculine R & B sound to it (and in my opinion sounds better!) while Heather's version sounds more radio friendly, like a Celine Dion song.

I like 'In My Mind' (Freemasons Vocal Club Mix) her voice is speeded up but her coice pitch is the same.. It is a really really good mix of hers. I love her voice!
