This song gets it's strength and depth from the great lyrics which were written by the legendary Bernie Taupin, who works with Elton John, but somehow finds time to work with other groups as well. Heart nails this song well !

I grew up in a musically inclined clan,but were not musician by profession.Luckily several of my relative really sound good.I'm so proud to be born in the best era of music.There's a lot of great boy &girl band, and they releases so many great songs,but nothing can compare to this song.It touches my inner soul and sub-concious mind.I promise that it will be my #1 song on my funeral march,someday. By the way im from the Philippines.

i really100x love this song. i will play this song EVERYDAY! and im happy whenever i hear it. also, this song keeps me remember whenever i go inside a hotel. i relly dont know why. i love heart and i love this song so so much.

actually, i was love at first hear nin this song. im so happy whenever i hear the song and recalls lots o f memories. it keeps ma relaxing that i will listen to it before bedtime alwasys. i love heart and i love these dreams.

I was in High School and my sister was in grade school when this song was released and I would take her cruising and we would sing the crap out of this song. To this day we consider this to be our song. When I hear this I think of my sister and us driving around singing it, so I will text her and say thinking of you, just heard our song, and she knows exactly what I am talking about. I have seen Heart in concert soooo many times... and they are the MOST amazing group ever... sooo incredibly talented and entertaining. Ann and Nancy are truly blessed!

How can I say, about this song. Bring me a lot of recalls in my mind and, in my heart. Very powerful voice of Wilson's sisters (and very pretty, both). I love this song. It may be nearly 10 years older than me, but it's a great song. The lyrics are so meaningful and just... SO GOOD. But I wonder why they took the first verse out of the single??? I was singing it one time to the album version and I heard the second verse and was like "WOAH, where did that come from??" (:

she has powerful voice i cant compare to the other band vocalist. and the message of all the songs it so wonderful and theres a meanigs in my life. i always sing her songs. and i dedicate to my special someone. that i always dreams that he show my eyes that i love him.

I am a Canadian, and saw these guys for the first time back in the 70s when they were playing out of Vancouver, after they recorded their first album. Although this song came out over a decade later and was not written by the sisters it is still one of my favourite Heart tunes.

I believe this is the first Heart tune that featured Nancy on lead vocals, and really showcases what an amazing vocalist she is. She could have been a great solo artist, but when you are in a band with one of the best female vocalists in the world(Annie Wilson), I guess it is easy to get overlooked in that department.

Still sounds fresh after all these years, and few songs have that quality.

know what ever since before i really dont know this title i just hear it once when i was a kid, then sometimes, lets say like one time im walking or cooking etc... my mouth sing this part of the lyrics "These dreams go on when i closed and so on... .. then after that i was surprisingly shocked to hear my self singing that song even im busy or im out of my mind, get what i mean? its really ridiculous,, and yes i love this song especially her voice that fits to the music hmmmmmmmmmmmp!!!

i really love this song, and forever i will. Makes me cry and laugh at the same time. I cry because love truely hurts and I laugh because I find myself so stupid to keep dreaming for the impossibilities.

i think people are taking this song too literally, "dreaming" about anything is exactly what the lyrics are telling you not to do, "freedom is a kiss" -freedom through exchanging your dream of the way things should be -for the truth!

a love that cannot be happend in real life so she rather dream about her prince, and take her chances in love even though it is just illusion love, and she afraid to be hurt so she choose to hide and have another life in dreams
