Sensitive, dreamy lyrics combined with soft guitar and orchestration allow this song to float above the listener's head then gently settle down and wrap them in an intricate melodic blanket. Only Joni Mitchell could approach these same emotions and sentiment as the Wilson sisters examine a relationship, the romantic beginnings..."/was it the wine/...or only the times?/" - and a wishful yet cloudy future..."/waitng for the bus/...will that be us?/". Each provocative stanza is followed by the beautiful French phrase -"Jai tant reve du toi". Loosely translated - "I dream of you often." Aspiring songwriters, lyricists, poets need examine these and other Hearts offering ( Dream of the Archer, Nada One, How deep it goes) and study the balance and form. As Ann Wilson coos near the last line "when we're old/ how will our story be told?/, this gorgeous song beckons us to do just that...How will our story be told? Thank you Ann and Nancy Wilson.
