EVER.I would know i know everything there is to know about guns n roses.tey were a big mark in history from when izzy and axl went to high school in indiana when they started gigs and when they got a multi-million dollar record deal and when they broke up in 1996 2 months and 14 days after i was born.that is all history. So the "logic" is gone. He was a buffer between axl and Slash/Duff/Matt (I think Matt had no big deal with Axl, but he had better relations with Slash and Duff...So Velvet Revolver was born) I think if izzy could work with Velvet Revolver they could make better biz...Anyway thanks to all "real" GNR members for great songs of music history. Axl/Izzy | Reviewer: Kasper | 2/2/08 Morgan is right, if you listen closely you hear Axl coming in at the chorusses as the lead singer, while you still hear the other voice (Izzy's) in the background. If I recall correctly Axl is playing piano in this song. The verse's piano is complicated and it's hard to be singing the lead voice at the same time as playing the piano part, whereas in the chorusses (when Axl comes in) the piano is alot easier Izzy Not Axl!! | Reviewer: Morgan | 11/23/07 The reason everyones saying that Axl sounds different in 14 Years is coz he didn't sing it! Izzy Stradlin sang the lead vocals on this song and also on Dust N' Bones. Axl Rose sounds different in the vocals but he is still amazing as always. The song is about Axl's stuglle with the band in particular, Slash. If you read the lyrics, they are very clear the things that were going wrong at the time. This song has a lot of sorrow and pain in it. It represents struggles Axl Rose has had in his life particularly with the band (especially Slash). I connect this song to my personal life because it is just a great song to vent to or if you need a good cry.
