The people that swallow this load. Great music, as for the lyrics.....looks like a product of our "fine" college "education" there. Some might equate these lyrics to the US, but look closer, more like your standard state college.

This song is paralleled to some of my favorites of all time, thats pretty hard to do seeing as how im pretty picky about my music. This song is just so different from anything else thats out there, plus with the message that it sends about America is quite interesting as well. Republican or Democrat, i think everyone should appreciate the song and the album as a whole for its artistic creativity. In this particular song, Green Day doesnt exactly directly say anything, they use more symbolism and imply thier messages. "theres a flag wrapped around a score of men" referring to all the dead soldiers coming home from Iraq in flag-covered coffins, but you never hear those stories on the news (they are kinda bummers eh?) and also another one of my favorites, "and bleed, the company lost the war today" calling america greedy, corporate centered, favoring the wealthy and powerful, all in all calling this stage in American history a facism, which is a corporate run government, which is what the Nazis were (hence the Zeig Heil to the president gasman, a.k.a. Bush-Hitler parallel)

all in all a really good song, even if you dont agree with the message =)

I like how people use one instance to judge someone...that is the republican way right? Then why are all the democrats on here doing it? I'll tell you why - you are all hypocrites! There may not be nuclear bombs in Iraq, but there can be WMDs there is a huge difference. You can hide biological chemicals where one teaspoon can knock out an entire city block a lot more easier than a massive nuclear weapon. Killing innocent people??? Where do you get this from? Aren't there people fighting back at the troops right now? How are all the troops dying?

I think all of you need to get off the Green Day bandwagon and actually think for things yourself and not let a bunch of strongminded people tell you what to think, or influence what you think. You should watch all different types of news make your own opinions. If you would realize the great stories of how the Iraqi people are thanking the Troops that are over there and the overwhelming support they give them...maybe you'd think differently about the war.

Green day is my favorite band ever i have been obsessed since 1039/smooth which was their first album. I have listened to holiday about a billion times and i love it it is by far my favorite song in the world. I have been fixing the lyrics page a lot though so i think it should say i was influencing the PSAAH and stuff.
