And I know, right, it IS hard to make out what Billie is singing at the very end, after repeating "Hitchin' a Ride" a lot of times, so if anyone knows, please tell! Thanks! Plus, I LOVE the sound of the guitars in this song. The drums are awesome, and so is the bass. But the guitars stood out. The lyrics are very cool, too; they are such good songwriters! BTW... When American Idiot came out, I saw the album art and was like, "Yeah, okay, this should be cool. Green Day? I think I've heard of them before," so I bought the album. After listening to it, I was thinking, "I've heard this dude before... who the fuck is he?" And so I went online, and BAM! I finally knew who sings most of my favorite songs. Anyway, I like the new stuff, and the old stuff. They're an amazing man, and I see Billie Joe Armstrong as a Celebrity-Father-Figure, especially considering the fact that I'm one year older than his oldest kid, and he's one year younger than my parents.
