The line "Freaks my balance out" sounds like a classic symptom of free-basing pills: loosing your coordination. The line that says, "The metal in my head kind of clinks as I walk" in my opinion, refers to a myth that smoking tin foil leaves small traces of the aluminum in your body. Dev, I'm pretty sure the song has nothing to do with global warming. How we sometimes have others thoughts impacted upon ourselves unable to think of a free world and having to stop paranoia basically. Something closely resembling that anyways, it is a beautiful song.
