Feel good inc | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/7/10
I hadn't known of the gorillaz for very long but now I'm obsessed with them. Anyway I do think there's a meaning to the song and like the previous guys review it's about ( or so I assume) sex and drugs and all that jacked up shit like that and he wants to get away. If you think about it this world isn't a nice place, with murder and rapeism ( if that's a word but you know what I mean) and all that stuff. I just wish this was a nice place and I think that's kinda what the songs about too.

I think, In the first part when the police sirens, ambulance and helicopters are heard are for us to understand that there is stress down there, is something going wrong. It start going up and the sound despairs and if your standing by the tower where 2d is located at you can see "You've got a new horizon, it's ephemeral style." I think this song talks about everyday situation " a melancolic town were we never smile" i mean its sad to see all the shit in steets. Walking through streets pushing each other because they have to get to their destinations. 2d is Isolated from all that Can't fight with us With yo sound You kill the INC. So don't stop, get it, get it Until you're Jet Ahead.Yo, watch the way I navigate. its like a way of saying this can't be change so its more like a lifestyle. The wind mill is more like the perfect way of living where no one is bad or doing things wrong thats the reason he asks if everybody is in. thats kind of my interpretation he also seem to be stuck in bad sh*t cause he is life "tierd" or down by weed. And all I wanna hear is the message beep.
My dreams, they've got to kiss, because I don't get sleep, no.. He is waiting for something to happen. So he may be stuck inside and he can't get out. You can also noticed its a cold place like not warm not lovely, depressive. So when the wind mill is heading to the corp. you see all this black clouds surrounding it, which give the impression is a bad place and he wants to escape, you can actually see his fingers applying pressure on the window as if saying I want to go. He stares at noodle and you can see how 2ds hands go down when the wind mill is leaving so he couldn't escape he is trap in a world he doesn't want to be, you can see how he goes back to sit in a chair. He can't escape the corporate world. I think the tittle may have a chance of being artificial Like feel good inc. Now a days we care about lots of material stuff that when we don't have we sometime feel bad or sad. thats what i think

Reading others' reviews, i think mine is totally different. When I first heard the song, I imagined a crime scene in a city full of hate.(First verse)
But then when the chorus came, I thought of hope, peace and love.(Turn forever hand in hand/Love forever love is free, Let's turn forever you and me)
As for the windmill? I'm not entirely sure but I "saw" everyone being protected from drugs, crime, etc.(Windmill, windmill, from the land, Is everybody in?)
For the other verses, I saw Murdoc turning against the rest of the band, causing all the issues, just to feel good (The title, Feel Good Inc)
So maybe my view is different? I don't know, but that's how i always saw it.

After looking at all the people's responses, I just realized this is the worlds biggest ink-blot test. Yes, I know theirs a proper name for it, but I can't spell it.
Personally, I think its about the way people pay way, way, way to much attention to the media and things that really make no difference. And then they get dumbed down and dont make a difference. And I think we can all agree that drugs are the WORST IDEA EVER!
Ok, rant over. But seriously, this is the worlds biggest roarchache (see, I told you I couldn't spell it.)
what i think | Reviewer: Jacob | 8/4/10
I think the choruses are the representations of all thats good in the world and that the one speaking the chorus is like the "Jesus", per say, to the world trying to make evryone happy. All the verses are the bad thats in the world trying to take over and destroy, the "Devil", if you will.
about the song... | Reviewer: Ebba | 7/26/10
I don't really agree with that the song is overall about breaking free, i think it's more the opposite. he's catched in the "feel good inc" with girls and darkness (no one is smiling) and outside a windmill is flying free. he feels like he's stuck like, you told me, the company controls him. and his free but in the same time not. x
Hidden lyrics in the song | Reviewer: Shadow404 | 7/19/10
I love this song alot and after hearing it so many times one day I ended up hearing something I hadn't heard at all before... At the very beginning, after he says "feel good" -and a whole lot more throughout the song, a voice in the background can be heard whispering "shut, shut the f**k, shut the f**k up" it's so FUNNY! Cause when I heard it on the radio and saw that it wasn't censored I couldn't help but to laugh... Listen to it closely, I'm sure you'll catch it. I know this was intentional as it goes with the beat and doesn't sound like words at all. That just makes the song SO much better haha love Gorillaz! And Long Live Noodle!!!
@ meaning to the song & video | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/15/10
The choppers are destroying "true love". but in reality as much as they made it look like love was dead noodle is still alive, and fights back during the attack on the cruse ship in another video. Although she does not win, she survives again and everyone else is completely unaware that she's alive at all.
Meaning to the song and music video | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/30/10
So basically it's about how people use drugs and sex to make themselves "feel good" (in the beginning all of the people -besides Russel, 2-D, and Noodle- are in sexual or drugged positions). They get so wrapped up in this, that they get trapped(the tower). 2-D "wakes up" and realizes what has happened. Because he has "awoken", he is the only one that sees Noodle. Noodle is the only band member that doesn't do drugs and has her virginity. The windmill represents true love turning forever. I think that the island is small to represent how there isn't much true love left in the world and that the other bad meathod are getting more popular ("They just have to go 'cause they can't hold back. So all you fill the streets it's appealing to see") The rappers are the media (like many of you have said) and endorse these meathods. There's only 1 thing that I don't understand. What do the helicopters at the end represent? The media? The bad ways to feel good "shooting down" those who are innocent? Or how things are changing for worse and the helicopters are flown by cruel people who take drugs, hire prostitues, rape, steal, and kill?
THERE IS NO SPECIFIC MEANING | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/18/10
this is a great song, and all of these people keep saying it's about this or that. but it's not about anything in particular, it's just a song that you have to interperate your own way, so everyone has a different understanding of it.

to the person that wrote the guy with the aoustic guitar and the guy with the bass guitar.. the guy with the bass is murdock and the "guy" with the acoustic guitar is infact a girl..her name is Noodle..
TFairy | Reviewer: 2D | 4/19/10
Tfairy is correct Noodle couldn't see me in the window because she couldnt even see the building. we were trapped in the prison of all that is wrong in the world. noodle and the windmill are "child-like innocence and freedom". to her the wrongness in the world is nothing. i had to tell myself to feel good. that became the lyrics.
this song has nothing to do with sex or drugs.
True. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/16/10
I agree with the person below me. Now that I watched the music video, it's true. It's all about breaking free. Like the first guy, the tired looking one, with the acoustic guitar, his music is from the heart, and he's a loner. The other guy, with the bass guitar, he's got all the girls 'cause he goes with the company.

Just so everyone knows, I ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THIS SONG MEANS: I know a guy who works for the record company where Gorillaz make their music at, and he got the scoop from them.
The song is about a record company that has control over a band that wants to have their own voice. The CEO of this record company is saying, "with yo' sound, you kill the INC," meaning that they have to stop making the kind of music that they want to make and that they must comform to the record company. The reason why it's called "Feel Good Inc." is because that's the name of the company, and the business approach of the company is to make everyone "feel good" by hearing what they want to hear in the lyrics.
Overall, this entire song is about breaking away and being free.
Aside from the meaning, this song has an awesome beat with great vocals and rapping. 10/10.
