The Reviews about Dirty Harry (page 2/ 2)

" 'Cause all I do is dance..."
Most people getting sent over are in their twenties, and barely know anything of war. Just out of Basic.

Dirty Harry. | Reviewer: Jamey | 6/6/07

The war in Iraq.

"The war is over
So said the speaker,
with a flight suit on"-Bush
---------
"I'm the reason why you fill up your Isuzu"
The war in Iraq is primarily to prepare the Iraqi forces to defend thenmselves, but another reason is to secure the vast oil reserves there.
Isuzu=truck/car brand.
--------
The reason for the title is still unfound to me, though. Help?

notes on the song | Reviewer: Krista | 6/2/07

considering the title of the song is "dirty harry", this song was probably written to bring attention to how the nuclear fallout of the bomb tests affected the people working at, and living nearby the Nevada Test Site

not about africans | Reviewer: tyler | 5/26/07

also it says "i got a 90 day extention" which would be something the military gives its soldiers, not something the african children get.

awesome song.

not about child soldiers in Africa | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/12/07

Actually it's pretty unmistakably about US soldiers going crazy in Iraq. Check out these lyrics:

The war is over
So said the speaker,
with a flight suit on
Maybe to him I'm just a pawn
So he can advance

Clearly a reference to Bush, unless you can think of another dude who in the recent past dressed up in a flight suit and proclaimed his war over.

It seems to me like it could just as well be a comment on the Iraq war.

The war is over
So said the speaker,
with a flight suit on

It seems like the content of "lightning fast reflexes" and other phrases seems like they must be older than children. Plus "reason why you fill up you Isuzu" sounds like war for oil to me, as in the rap part is from the point of view of a American soldier.
I dunno, but this reminds me alot about Bush's statement about when the war ended-plus flight suit=pilot=air force=?Bush
Was the song released after that? I dunno. YOU DECIDE

It's about Iraq | Reviewer: Kevin Hendrix | 5/14/07

The line about the speaker in a flight suit is about Bush declaring the war won, while we are still there fighting...

It's about... | Reviewer: Ben | 5/10/07

The song, I believe, is about the child soldiers in Africa, such as Darfur and similar places. Listen closely.

"I need a gun to keep myself from harm
The poor people are -burning in the sun-
But they ain't got a chance
They ain't got a chance"

These parts are sung by children; perhaps, for a reason?

The following rap parts talk about the life of the child soldiers. It's a good song, with a good message: These things need to stop.

good song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/17/07

man its crazy to htink that lots of kids around the world have to say the last line of the song before like 13
