Love this band | Reviewer: Robb | 1/15/2008

Saw them twice in the 80's. Then in the 90's the band i was playing in opened up for Dan Baird at Dallas City Limits. My stupid ass didnt realize at the time who he was and didnt hang out to meet him. I will forever regret that

It's a cryin' shame there's no chance of a reunion, 'cause the sequel to "Salvation & Sin" would be a sight for sore ears. Nearly 20 (!) years down the pike, I can honestly say they don't make 'em like they used to... (It's an all-digital recording, hehehe). I saw them live in Sudbury, On, CA in 1989 for this tour, and every so often, when I need my ass kicked, I listen to the record.

So they sold out on the 80's hair because a big lable made it worth their while. I understand. Most of us would never allow ourselves to look like idiots in front of millions just because some "major" record lable flashed a few K in front of us, right? Now that we're past it (the 80's), all I can say is "holly shit!". These guys put out some outstanding rocknroll. Their few hits (you know em) where worthy beyond a doubt, but the B sides are what make this band truely remarkable. To all you self appointed "alt-country" and "cow punk" types, go to church. If you haven't heard the rest of the Satellites, you need to.
