Everytime I hear this song it makes me think of my grandfather who died last year...and I know for a fact that this is how he felt about my grandmother every day of his life.

A great warning | Reviewer: Anthony | 4/30/07
The first time I heard this song my skin crawled with familiarity. I got rid of all the letters i kept in a box under the bed. Still a ways away, but I am determined not to end up this songs protagonist. Thanks George.
Its the greatest... | Reviewer: Jeff | 4/15/07
This song, written by Bobby Braddock, is often considered to be the greatest country song ever written. I have always loved this song. He also wrote "Jet Set", heard in some recent Chevrolet commercials, and co-wrote "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" which was made famous by Tammy Wynette.
