He did pop. He did country. He did jazz.... just listen to the first lp, "Bluejean Bop," then take a walk to preservation hall in Nawlins' and you will hear what I mean. That band was well steeped, from Gene on vocals to Cliff on guitar to Dickie with his brushes to the bass man. I love his rock and roll as much as all the rest he did. A true original.
