this song is amazing how it can describe every kind of person in one song. it discribes how every one has a problem and not one person is perfect. and that you are your own worst critic. soo your going to compare your self to every one else. and everyone has pain that they go through its a great song!!

Strikes a Nerve | Reviewer: Greenling | 2/28/2007

I've dealt with pretty much everything in this song. In the midst of a starvation-induced haze, I heard the song and couldn't believe how closely it resonated with me. I sang it to myself all the time. It was as if a hand reached out from the notes and took hold of mine, and all of a sudden I wasn't alone anymore. And I stopped hiding my cuts, fresh and seeping or old and shining with scar tissue, because really, you should see my scars.

What more can you ask from a piece of music?

Bleed Like Her | Reviewer: Temptation's Girl | 8/23/2005

This is one of the most impressive songs on the album, their comeback album to their original roots - rock (which I'm terribly grateful for). Just as was mentioned in a previous review, this is a song that most people will be able to relate to ... but never will understand the meaning behind it. It simply states "Bleed Like Me" and it handles the present- day problems, but not the solutions and not the inner reasons of Cutting itself.

I've suffered from Cutting myself and it was no "nothing". It was a cry for help, and a serious problem. It isn't just a simple nuisance with a simple solution. And Shirley Manson, having gone through Cutting herself, sings this song just like how everyone who has gone through cutting talks about it: Simply put, dismissive, and deep- rooted. We'd talk about it as if its complete nonsense, but there is always the eternal chorus ringing at the back of our head: "You should see my scars." Because what we've gone through is no picnic, and this song proves just that.

Bleed Like Me Review | Reviewer: AnonymousWriter | 6/5/2005

Bleed Like Me is a song that reflects on the lives of many young people today. The lyrics are very deep and the song is very catchy. A lot of people can relate to what the song is about. Cutting is something most people who don't cut don't understand, and the lines , 'Try to comprehend that which you'll never comprehend', states that very clearly. While the song offers no advice or positive statements it is still a song that will remain and linger in the minds of many people for days and days after listening. Bleed Like Me is a song that leaves an impression and loiters in your thoughts, and my opinion is that it is a great song that should have been played on the radio more.
