I blew him | Reviewer: enuspride | 3/1/06
And there's another gay reference in their song Do You Want To ... "I blew him before you"!! Next we'll be seeing them perform at the Sydney Gay Mardi Gras Concert! hehe
It's 2006. Get over it. | Reviewer: enuspride | 2/27/06
FF are great and the song is great. It seems the guys are pretty straight. But what the hell would it matter if they weren't, or if the song is about same-sex attraction? Isn't it about time we got over such trivialities? I bow to their musicianship and their boldness.

Quote from Damian:
"...listen to music actually made in the 60s or 70s or 80s and not this GAY SHIT pumped out by Scottish HOMO-SEXUALS."
Damian, it's not healthy to use your entire vocabulary in one sentence.
This song strikes me as a humorous gesture by a bunch of teenage Scottish boys, and not, as some of you have come to believe, a strong whiff of the lead singer's homosexuality. If you'd just look at the lyrics to their other songs - or even the titles - you'd see they're straight. "Tell Her Tonight", "Jacqueline", "Auf Achse", and even "Take Me Out" all show that this song was just a joke.
So tell me, Damian, how many guys do you know who are named "Jacqueline"?
It's an awsome song and yes it is gay but the group is not. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/26/05
What's with all the horror over the fact that this song has a gay message. It's good music, and gay artists have pumped out straight ballads for decades. The group has gay friends and wrote a song about the two of them dancing after they went out with them one night. And to the person who thought it might me a message from a female fan, they leave it pretty unambiguous with the lyric "I'm a man."

I always think that music has value if it has a positive effect on someone. I can completely understand that you might not like the sound of this song, but I think you have to respect it in the very least because it makes me happy! I think it's fun, awesome fun in fact.
And I am not entirely certain that it does necessarily have gay connotations.... my spin on it would be that it could be a happy case of gender mixing -I myself refer to myself as a little boy on occasion when I write my own songs.

Have you ever considered that the song was written to be a message given to someone?
Like a girlfriend sending the lead singer this message?
This song=Gay | Reviewer: Damian | 3/20/05
This has to be one of the gayest songs ever recorded. I'm using gay in the homo-sexual meaning here. Then with all these homo-sexual overtones, the music itself sucks too, it really astonishes me as to how many dick heads like Franz Ferdinand. They're just tryin to be a Beatles-esque retro group where all these dick heads listen to them and think that retro is cool so they listen to it. Listen to some real fucking music, if you want to hear retro, listen to music actually made in the 60s or 70s or 80s and not this gay shit pumped out by Scottish homo-sexuals.
